I recently finished The Dinner by Herman Koch. I had a bit of trouble getting into this one, but I'm 95% sure it was because my brain was overwhelmed with work stuff. Then again, the slow pace might have also been a factor.

J'ai eu l'impression de ne reprendre mon souffle qu'après la lecture: on ressent intensément le rythme effréné de la cuisine, des sorties de fin de shift, mais aussi l'inquiétante vie personnelle du narrateur, éprit d'une compulsion au jeu.
